Room Revamp

So I think we can all relate, but after being trapped indoors for who even knows how long at this point.. you really start to become one with your walls. I've pretty much had my same decor since I moved into my place two years ago and felt that is just didn't fit my personality any longer. So, I decided it was time for a little room revamp before the winter months come along and my bed sheets actually become a part of my body.

To get the ball moving, I reached out to one of my favorite home decor companies, Joybird, and asked if they'd want to hop on this journey with me. I wanted to ditch my minimal modern nook and pump up the color with an vintage inspired bohemian hibernation station. I wanted to add vibrant hues and vintage flares, while still keeping the same mid century modern aspect I had started with. I picked out this colorful 8x10 rug to really make the place pop, and added in a wooden bed frame with iron details and a headboard to really fill the space. Joybird also helped me out with a few colorful throw pillows, which always adds the cherry on top to any bedroom, as well as a super rad table lamp to boost the color even further.

I knew I wanted some unique, colorful art on the walls, so I reached out to an amazing artist, Astrid Wilson, and scored these two prints I had been drooling over for months. I am seriously in awe over her 'Flower Market' prints and my favorite, 'TUNIS', couldn't of been more my style. I wanted to accentuate these beauties with some vintage inspired frames to tie it all in. Since the prints weren't regulation size, I ended up framing each print with custom gold frames from Framebridge. Astrid sent the art straight to their warehouse, and after I picked my two favorite frames, they sent them to me fully finished a few weeks later! I am over the moon with the results.

For finishing touches, I added some dried florals to a few terra-cotta vases on my night stand as well as some gold hangers to my featured item clothing rack (that really only stays this cute for photos, I'll be honest). I also hung a dreamy Bali inspired basket lamp above my bed (ugh Bali now I'm crying) from World Market and it added SO much to the corner.

Anyhoo, I took some pics (obviously..) so you can fully submerse yourself in my new space. Hope you enjoy my new nook as much as I do! See you never :)
